Super Mario Odyssey NSP ROM
The story begins with Bowser defeating Mario and ripping off his signature hat. Mario awakens in the Cap Kingdom, and he and Cappy decide to become best friends and rescue Peach and Tiara.
Odyssey’s gameplay revolves around Mario and his peculiar hat. You can throw the hat to attack, jump on it to use a spring, or throw it at specific enemies to control them, transform Mario into them, and gain their abilities. For example, you can become a Goomba, which can combine with other types. You can also transform into a frog and jump incredibly high.
Odyssey follows in the footsteps of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, offering vast worlds to explore and allowing you to collect numerous items. In each land you visit, you’ll find Power Moons to collect. That’s right, in this game, you don’t collect Power Stars, but Power Moons.
Instead of being divided into parts like Mario 64, Sunshine, or even the Galaxy series, Mario Odyssey offers you a vast world to freely explore. When you collect enough Power Moons, it doesn’t send you back to the center to collect the next one and start over. That’s right, you collect the moon, stay there, have fun, and keep playing and exploring the world. You’ll have to collect over 800 moons in the game.
Completing the main story of Super Mario Odyssey probably won’t take you very long, which isn’t a bad thing, because once you’ve finished the game, you’ve really only just begun. A number of Power Moons are unlocked only after finishing the game, and there are also a few more surprises that unlock later on.
Some Power Moons in Super Mario Odyssey require you to complete specific minigames. For example, there’s one where you have to jump rope a certain number of times, and another where you control a remote-controlled car while the Super Mario Kart theme plays. These minigames are great, but the best part is that the game tracks your time and compares you to other players online via leaderboards.
