The core of GRADIUS ORIGINS’ gameplay is its innovative power-up system. Instead of randomly obtaining power-ups, players must collect power-up capsules dropped by enemies and activate their desired abilities from a customizable power-up bar. This allows players to customize their Vic Viper to suit their playstyle, whether focusing on speed, powerful lasers, missiles, or shields. The challenge comes from the high difficulty level, where players must master each level, memorize enemy attack patterns, and manage their power-ups wisely.
